London In The Springtime

Every time I come to London, I can't resist hitting the big shopping areas and malls and checking out the windows. They always have the ability to pull me into the store. As a visual merchandiser (Club Monaco, H&M, Gap, etc), the store window is the most important thing because it's the one thing that can pull the customers in besides the name. It can draw them in or keep them away from the store. I always like an interesting window, because you get to see the kind of styling that a brand has. It's rare these days to see an over the top window, but when I find them I can't resist them. Let's get started!!! The first window I've checked out were of the world famous Selfridge's. Selfridge's is like the Sak's Fifth Avenue (another store I've worked in)/Neiman Marcus/Bergdorf Goodman/Nordstrom (another store I've worked in) of London. This is one of the stores that has all of the high end designer brands (Dolce & Gabbanna, Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Prada, etc.). This batch of windows have a festival theme and all of the fashions reflect that. LOVED IT!!!! Here are a few shots for you to see, so you can understand what I fell in love with. Here are the windows for Zara. In light of the recent issues with the factory collapsing in Bangeledesh, I do love their windows, but I wonder what their next step will be with all of this. Here are the gorgeous windows. The next set of pics are from Tommy Hilfiger. I was never really a fan of his clothes, but this caught my eye and I'm thinking of investigating further (yes, it means that I will walk into a store). So, these are some of the pics of the stores along Oxford Circus, but I'm sure I will get to check out the other areas while I'm here. I always love to debate all the looks that are presented and I love to see what you think. Stay fashionable and sexy!!!!

  1. I do miss the Selfridges windows, it must be sooooo much fun being able to use the budget they have creatively!!
